While not a direct copy of any particular sword, the Viking sword design was inspired by historical examples from the early 9th Century, most notably finds from the area around Trondheim, Norway, where the circular indentation hilt decoration was popular.The scabbards are provided with suspension points and a period chape, giving the sheathed sword a very attractive appearance. The construction of the Viking -Inchpair-Inch differs from other swords in the Tinker series inasmuch as they are tang-riveted (peened) in period fashion at the pommel, primarily to satisfy Viking re-enactment requirements, and the blunt blade design is very much directed towards re-enactment rather than sparring. However, as with the other swords in the series, replacement blades are available and Tinker is offering a blade-replacement and re-peening service for users unable to undertake the task themselves.See models SH2408 for the Tinker Sharp Viking Sword and SH2420 for the Blunt replacement blade.

The War Sword is a hand-and-a-half design from the early 14th century. The hardwood grip and elongated scent-stopper pommel make the 32" blade surprisingly easy to handle. ; ; All of the swords in the Iberia line are crafted in much the same way as swords were made centuries ago, except that the blades are now forged from high-carbon spring steel, a resource unavailable off-the-shelf to the smiths of old. The blade finish is far from being polished, again more closely replicating what the medieval swordsmith was able to achieve. ; ; The grips are carved in wood, often with a leather cord wrap to better replicate the originals on which the designs are based. Fittings are either steel or solid brass. Leather or leather-wrapped scabbards are included. Primary sword of the ninja. Shorter than the long-sword traditionally used by the samurai class of warriors. The scabbard of the ninja sword often works as a club, underwater snorkel or other handy tool. Where a samurai would never consider even drawing his sword unless it was to further his spiritual ideals, a ninja might use his sword as a disposable step ladder (standing on the guard), as a crowbar, or whatever was necessary to accomplish his mission. As such, there are no traditional, ninja - to ninja swords. Their swords were of far inferior quality to the modern reproduction blades that we have today. Each clan had their own style of sword fighting, and their own style of swords. Some ninja clans did possess high quality swords, in the style of the Japanese Samurai Sword (katana) but this is rare.All ninja or even all warriors, if they expected to live were masters of the use of swords. To the ninja, the sword was a primary weapon, but it wasn't revered as the Samurai did with their katanas.
